This VIKING 1740 Series auto-darkening helmets have a perfect EN379 - 1/1/1/1 optical clarity rating. This test measures the performance of the auto-darkening filter on four separate optical categories. Rugged, lightweight, VIKING solar-powered auto-darkening helmets are loaded with features. This helmet features continuously variable shade control and is solar powered with battery assist that takes away the need for an on/off switch to remember. Hard hat adapter capable and this includes 2 replaceable AAA alkaline batteries, 2 inside cover lenses, and 5 outside cover lenses.
